AC Milan are reportedly ready to enter the race to secure the signing of Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini, who is out of contract in the summer.

AC Milan have reportedly indicated that they intend to make an approach for Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini.

Since the start of 2018, it has been suggested that Fellaini is happy to let his contract run down at Old Trafford and a deal is still to be reached ahead of the summer window.

Fellaini has claimed that he is in 'a strong position' regarding negotiations, while manager Jose Mourinho has insisted that United 'are not to blame' for a lack of progress over fresh terms.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Milan have opened discussions regarding a possible move and will likely be tempted to make an approach for the Belgian international on a free transfer due to needing to fulfil FFP commitments.

The 30-year-old will not be short of offers should the contract standoff continue, with clubs in the Premier League also likely to make a bid on June 1 if Fellaini's future remains up in the air.

Paris Saint-Germain and Besiktas have previously been among the teams linked with an approach for the player.
