Lazio sporting director Igli Tare suggests that Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, an alleged target for Manchester United and Chelsea, can decide his own future.

Lazio sporting director Igli Tare has suggested that Sergej Milinkovic-Savic will make the final decision on his future.

Having established himself as a key man at Stadio Olimpico, the Serbia international has been heavily linked with a switch to a bigger club in the future.

Despite the player's status at Lazio, Tare has hinted that the 25-year-old will be allowed to dictate his own career path - comments which are likely to alert Manchester United, Chelsea and Real Madrid.

Speaking to Sky Sport Italia, Tare said: "The player's desire is crucial. Generally speaking, if a player thinks that their time is up and wants to go somewhere else, it shouldn't be a problem.

"Eras come to an end. The fact he stayed in Rome for five years is because he has strong links with the city and club. When there was some temptation, a bit on our part, a bit on his, we never went all the way. However, things must be assessed at the end of the season."

Lazio allegedly value Milinkovic-Savic in the region of £80m.
