Manchester United may have reportedly been handed a boost in their pursuit of Birmingham City midfielder Jude Bellingham.

Manchester United have seemingly been handed a boost in their bid to sign Birmingham City youngster Jude Bellingham.

With the 16-year-old having already established himself as a key man at St Andrew's, he is naturally attracting interest from bigger clubs.

As well as Borussia Dortmund, United have been weighing up a big-money approach for the teenager, despite the financial implications of the coronavirus pandemic.

On Monday, Birmingham announced that current boss Pep Clotet would be leaving the Championship outfit at the end of the campaign.

Manchester Evening News suggests that the Spaniard's departure can only help United's bid to sign Bellingham, who has a year left on his contract.

The report hints that whoever replaces Clotet in the Blues dugout will want to use any funds generated from Bellingham's sale to reinvest into the first-team squad.
