Manchester United will reportedly push ahead with an offer for Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele if Paul Pogba forces through a move to Real Madrid.
Madrid are believed to be trying to lure Pogba to the Bernabeu as part of a major rebuild project, which could also involve the likes of Eden Hazard and Luka Jovic making the switch.
Los Blancos have a long way to go to sign the Frenchman but, according to Metro, United already have a replacement in mind.
The Red Devils will hold off from making a formal approach for Ndombele until Pogba's future is clarified, it is claimed, though they could face competition from Paris Saint-Germain, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City.
Ndombele has been used 48 times by Lyon in all competitions this season.
