Manchester United will attempt to sign Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak if David de Gea leaves this summer, according to a report.

Manchester United will reportedly attempt to sign Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak if David de Gea leaves the 20-time English champions in this summer's transfer window.

De Gea will see his current deal with United expire at the end of next season, and the Spain international continues to be linked with a move away from the club.

According to Metro, should De Gea leave this summer then the Red Devils will attempt to sign Oblak.

The 26-year-old only recently signed a new long-term deal with Atletico, which runs until the summer of 2023 and includes a release clause of £104m.

However, the report claims that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side would be prepared to spend in excess of £100m for the Slovenian, who has kept 116 clean sheets in 204 games for Atletico.

This season, Oblak has conceded just 32 times in 42 appearances in all competitions.
