Beram Kayal hopeful of move to Premier League

Midfielder Beram Kayal says that if an "attractive proposition" is made for his services then he will leave Celtic.

Celtic midfielder Beram Kayal has hinted that he would be interested in a move to Manchester United or Liverpool this summer.

The 25-year-old was linked with the Premier League duo three years ago after impressing in Scotland, but the asking price was said to be too high for both clubs.

Kayal now claims that his price will be much lower following a succession of injuries, while also slamming the quality of the Scottish Premiership.

"In my first season at Celtic a lot of teams came to watch me," the former Maccabi Haifa player is quoted as saying by the International Business Times. "Kenny Dalglish, who was manager of Livepool, and Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United had communications with me.

"With a lot of teams interested, Celtic wanted too much money. Now, because of my injuries, the price is much lower but my dream is still alive and well.

"There is a lack of technique [in Scotland], the football is played at a breakneck speed with power and intensity, and it doesn't stop for a minute. I'm not in love with this league. If someone comes up with an attractive proposition to Celtic and me, then I'll go."

Kayal has featured 15 times for the Hoops this season.
