Team News: Virgil van Dijk available for Celtic

Celtic pick Virgil van Dijk to face Inverness Caledonian Thistle after the club appealed his red card picked up at Aberdeen.

Virgil van Dijk will start for Celtic when they host Inverness Caledonian Thistle after the club lodged an appeal against the Dutch defender's red card picked up at Aberdeen in midweek.

Stefan Johansen, who missed the Hoops' first league defeat of the season at Pittodrie, is fit again after an ankle knock, but must make do with a place on the bench.

Beram Kayal is also among the substitutes for Celtic, but there's no place in the matchday squad for Amido Balde or Finnish striker Teemu Pukki.

Caley boss John Hughes has no fresh injury concerns following their 3-0 Highland derby win over Ross County, with Billy McKay picked to start at Celtic Park.

Despite their defeat at Aberdeen, Neil Lennon's men do hold a 21-point lead over the chasing pack in the Scottish Premiership.

Celtic: Forster; Matthews, Ambrose, Van Dijk, Izaguirre; Forrest, Brown, Biton, Mulgrew; Stokes, Griffiths
