Championship outfit Ipswich Town are reportedly eager to sign Manchester United defender Scott Wootton.
The 21-year-old has been with the Premier League champions since 2007, but he has only made five senior appearances - all of which came last season.
As a result, it is believed that United would consider parting with the centre-back, either on a permanent or a loan basis.
That has alerted Ipswich boss Mick McCarthy, who is still keen to bolster his defensive options despite the recent additions of Christophe Berra and Frederic Veseli, according to The People.
Wootton has had previous loan spells with Tranmere Rovers, Peterborough United and Nottingham Forest.
