Ipswich Town have reportedly started contract negotiations with trailists Dean Gerken and Dan Seaborne.
Goakeeper Gerken and defender Seaborne, who were released by Bristol City and Southampton respectively at the end of last season, have been training with the Championship side in recent days.
They both also featured during the weekend's friendly match against Shelbourne and following that outing, manager Mick McCarthy is hoping that he can secure the free agents on permanent deals, according to the East Anglian Daily Times.
The report added that McCarthy is close to adding former Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Christophe Berra to his squad over the coming days.
