Inter Milan have reportedly attempted to scupper a potential swap deal involving Paulo Dybala and Romelu Lukaku by offering Juventus unwanted striker Mauro Icardi in exchange for the Argentine forward.
Antonio Conte views Lukaku as a top priority this summer, but Inter are no longer favourites to secure his signature after United and Juventus reportedly reached an agreement for a deal involving Dybala and the Belgian, who wants a move to Italy.
While Lukaku has agreed his move to Juventus, Dybala is yet to make a decision over his future and will reportedly hold talks with manager Maurizio Sarri this week.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Inter have turned their attention towards offering Icardi, who is not in Conte's plans, to Juventus as part of a swap deal for Dybala.
Dybala and his agent have both stated this summer that the Argentine's preference would be to remain at Juventus for the 2019-20 campaign.
However, Juventus are keen to dispense with Dybala, who wants a wage packet of £250,000 a week if he were to leave, amid fears his resale value would significantly drop with another poor season.
