Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has reportedly been keeping tabs on Lille defender Mathieu Debuchy.
The Red Devils manager was believed to be watching playmaker Eden Hazard when he travelled to France to watch Lille against Lyon last weekend.
Despite initial reports, it is thought that the Scotsman was monitoring the 26-year-old French right-back, according to the Metro.
Debuchy, who is reportedly on Bayern Munich and Valencia's radar, could be a possible replacement for Rafael, as Ferguson is believed to feel wary over the Brazilian's defensive qualities.
