Atletico Madrid have reportedly made a fresh offer for Paris Saint-Germain frontman Edinson Cavani.
With less than six months remaining on his contract, there is widespread interest in Cavani's signature, including from the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United.
However, as far as a switch in January is concerned, it appears that Atletico hold the biggest interest as they bid to strengthen their misfiring forward line.
According to L'Equipe, the Spanish giants have upped their bid to £8.5m as they look to tempt PSG into a sale for a cut-price fee.
While PSG allegedly accept that Cavani is keen for a new challenge, the Ligue 1 leaders are currently contemplating whether there is more value in keeping the Uruguay international until the end of the season.
