With pre-season training and friendly matches now well underway, managers are starting to identify which areas of their respective squads are in need of improvements.
As such, there has been no shortage of speculation involving Premier League clubs and here, Sports Mole has rounded up the biggest rumours and done deals from the last seven days.
Arsenal
Just a matter days after the arrival of Alexis Sanchez, Arsene Wenger has had the chequebook out again. This time around he was securing the services of right-back Mathieu Debuchy from Newcastle United for a fee believed to be in the region of £12m.
However, it has grown increasingly unlikely that he will be joined at the Emirates Stadium by Real Madrid's Sami Khedira, which has resulted in Wenger's supposed interest in Sporting Lisbon midfielder William Carvalho.
Aston Villa
While Ron Vlaar's performances at the World Cup for the Netherlands were a pleasure to watch, Villa supporters will have looked on with horror. Since the end of the tournament, their centre-back has been linked with switches to both Roma and Southampton.
One player that has already departed Villa Park, though, is Yacouba Sylla. The 23-year-old has signed a season-long loan deal with Turkish club Erciyesspor.

Burnley
Sean Dyche bolstered his attacking options last week by signing Middlesbrough striker Lukas Jutkiewicz. The 25-year-old has agreed a three-year contract at Turf Moor.
It would also seem that Dyche has not given up his pursuit of Craig Dawson. West Brom have rejected two bids from their Premier League counterparts for the defender, but a report has claimed that Dyche is now readying a third offer.
Chelsea
There won't be many Premier League clubs that have a more productive summer transfer window than Chelsea. With Cesc Fabregas and Diego Costa already on board, the West Londoners confirmed last Wednesday that they had reached an agreement with Atletico Madrid to sign Brazilian full-back Filipe Luis.
He could soon be joined at Stamford Bridge by Didier Drogba, who has strongly been linked with a return to the club that he served for eight years. Demba Ba has departed, though, with Besiktas his destination.

Crystal Palace
There could be a big arrival at Selhurst Park over the coming days in the form of Spurs midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson. A report has suggested that an £8m fee has been agreed between the two London clubs.
In terms of outgoings, Spanish midfielder Jose Campana, who arrived at Palace last summer, is said to be on the verge of signing for Serie A outfit Sampdoria.
Everton
If recent rumours are to be believed, Everton will be bracing themselves for a bid from Man City for youngster Ross Barkley. It's been reported that Manuel Pellegrini has identified the England international as the ideal replacement for Yaya Toure.
There could be further bad news where midfielder James McCarthy is concerned. The Republic of Ireland international is said to be a target of both Man United and Spurs, while Arsenal are also monitoring his situation at Goodison Park.

Hull City
Having bolstered his wide options with Robert Snodgrass and Tom Ince, it would seem that Steve Bruce is now eager to reinforce his defence at the KC Stadium.
Tottenham captain Michael Dawson and Sheffield United's Harry Maguire are thought to be targets, as is full-back Danny Rose. The 24-year-old is believed to have been made available for transfer by the North Londoners, who are close to signing Ben Davies.
Leicester City
The Foxes have long been linked with Brighton & Hove Albion centre-forward Leonardo Ulloa, but so far have been unable to reach an agreement with the Championship club. The latest rumour is that a £7m offer is about to be lodged.
Should Leicester boss Nigel Pearson miss out on Ulloa, it's been speculated that Algerian international Islam Slimani, who plays for Sporting Lisbon in Portugal, is the alternative option.

Liverpool
Brendan Rodgers is wasting little time in spending the £75m that the club have received from Barcelona for Luis Suarez. It's expected over the coming days that Loic Remy, Dejan Lovren and young Belgian striker Divock Origi will all sign on at Anfield.
Real Madrid playmaker Isco is another reported target, as is Manchester City midfielder James Milner. Should they arrive, they will join Lazar Markovic, who finalised his switch to Merseyside last week.
Manchester City
The major news as far as City are concerned from the last few days came from Yaya Toure, who after plenty of speculation, insisted that he would still be at the Etihad Stadium come the end of the summer transfer window.
One player that could be on his way out, though, is Serbian defender Matija Nastasic. Rumour has it that the centre-back is being tracked by Italian club Roma.

Manchester United
It's been another week packed with numerous reports surrounding United's pursuit of Arturo Vidal, but it would seem that little progress has been made. One report at the weekend claimed that the Red Devils would be willing to pay the Juventus midfielder the same wages as Robin van Persie should he sign on at Old Trafford.
Ajax defender Daley Blind is also thought to be a target of Louis van Gaal, as is Stefan de Vrij. Some players will need to leave as well, with Patrice Evra said to be nearing a move to Juve.
Newcastle United
How would Newcastle supporters feel about Andy Carroll returning to the club? Well, it's something that they may have to accept, with one report having suggested that Alan Pardew is eager to re-sign the centre-forward.
It's actually been a busy few days on Tyneside, with the club having added Monaco striker Emmanuel Riviere. Dutch right-back Daryl Janmaat has also arrived as a replacement for Arsenal-bound Debuchy.

Queens Park Rangers
After conflicting reports regarding the move, Rio Ferdinand finally put the finishing touches on his switch to Loftus Road last week. The centre-back could soon be partnered by Steven Caulker after QPR agreed a fee with Cardiff City for the England defender.
A number of other players have been linked with switches to the R's, including former Everton midfielder Tim Cahill and Bolton Wanderers' Mark Davies. Meanwhile, Samba Diakite has left the club to join Al Ittihad on a loan basis.
Southampton
The Saints have already lost a trio important players in Luke Shaw, Adam Lallana and Rickie Lambert, but they could be about to lose two more. Lovren is closing in on a move to Liverpool, while Spurs are said to be keen admirers of Morgan Schneiderlin.
One player that the club seem determined to keep hold of, though, is midfielder James Ward-Prowse. A report this weekend suggested that the England Under-21 international would soon be offered a new contract.

Stoke City
Mark Hughes appears to be determined to add a winger to his squad at the Britannia Stadium, with both Oussama Assaidi, who spent last season on loan at in the Potteries, and Norwich City wideman Nathan Redmond said to be on the Welshman's wishlist.
Honduras international Wilson Palacios may also have a future with the club after he failed a medical ahead of his proposed switch to the Qatar Sports Club.
Sunderland
Loanee Fabio Borini was one of the stars as Sunderland defied the odds to retain their Premier League status last season and Gus Poyet is known to be keen to re-sign the Liverpool striker. However, it's been claimed that the Italian will cost the Black Cats £14m.
A host of other names have also been linked with switches to the Stadium of Light, including Tim Cahill, Cristian Rodriguez and USA international centre-back Matt Besler.

Swansea City
Spurs will probably not be the most welcome of visitors to the Liberty Stadium next season. The North Londoners are said to be close to signing left-back Davies, while Wilfried Bony and Michel Vorm are reported targets.
As far as incomings are concerned, a report in France has stated that the Swans are close to securing the services of Marseille attacker Dimitri Payet for £7m.
Tottenham Hotspur
With Davies believed to be only days away from being confirmed as a Spurs player, the attention of director of football Franco Baldini is expected to turn to other targets.
Juventus's Italian midfielder Andrea Pirlo is thought to be on Tottenham's wishlist, while both Erik Lamela and Roberto Soldado could both be heading to Italy, with Inter Milan said to be keen on the pair.

West Bromwich Albion
The Baggies are believed to have parted with a club-record £12m fee to sign Nigerian international striker Brown Ideye from West Bromwich Albion. The frontman has agreed a three-year contract at The Hawthorns.
Scottish midfielder Graham Dorrans has also committed his future to the club by signing a new deal, but George Thorne has departed for Championship side Derby County.
West Ham United
Providing that he can secure a work permit, Enner Valencia will become a West Ham player in a deal worth around £15m. The Ecuador international will be the club's fifth signing of the summer.
He could been joined at Upton Park by Carl Jenkinson, with a report having claimed that the club are keen to sign the Arsenal defender either on a permanent basis or a loan deal.
