Report: William Carvalho will cost Arsenal £24m

Arsenal are told by Sporting Lisbon that they must pay at least £24m up front to sign William Carvalho.

Sporting Lisbon have reportedly told Arsenal that they will need to spend £24m in order to sign William Carvalho.

The 22-year-old has been linked with a move away from Portugal this summer and the Gunners are believed to have seen a previous bid rejected.

According to The Mirror, Carvalho is keen on a move to Arsenal, but Sporting Lisbon want any payment for the midfielder to be paid upfront and not in instalments.

It is believed that Carvalho has a release clause of £35m.
