Leicester City 'to break transfer record for Brighton's Leonardo Ulloa'

Leicester City are reportedly close to signing Brighton & Hove striker Leonardo Ulloa for a club-record fee of £7m.

Leicester City are reportedly on the verge of signing Brighton & Hove Albion striker Leonardo Ulloa for a club-record fee of £7m.

The 27-year-old, who penned a four-and-a-half-year deal at Brighton when he joined from Almeria in January last year, has returned from the Championship side's pre-season tour in Spain.

According to BBC Radio Leicester, Ulloa is expected to seal a move to the newly-promoted Premier League side for £7m today.

The forward scored 16 goals in all competitions for Brighton last season.
