Wilson Palacios misses out on Qatar Sports Club move

Stoke City midfielder Wilson Palacios has missed out on a move to Qatar Sports Club after the Honduran international failed a medical.

Wilson Palacios's proposed transfer from Stoke City to Qatar Sports Club has collapsed after the Honduran international failed a medical.

The 29-year-old midfielder, who was sent off in his country's opening 3-0 World Cup defeat to France last month, is entering the final year of his contract at Britannia Stadium.

Palacios has started just 14 games since joining the Potters in 2011, with manager Mark Hughes using him mainly from the bench last season.

The club have bolstered their midfield options in recent weeks by bringing in Steve Sidwell from Fulham.
