Jonny Evans has said that he hopes that Manchester United will have an easy transition period following Sir Alex Ferguson's retirement.
Everton manager David Moyes will take charge of the Old Trafford side from next season, after Ferguson confirmed that he would be stepping down after more than 26 years in the dugout.
The defender told MUTV: "No-one knows what to expect. But we've seen what he's been like at Everton. He's done a great job there.
"People here obviously know players at Everton and, before it was even hinted he'd get the job, people were always asking what David Moyes was like because of the job he'd done and the work ethic they have at that club.
"He will always have that bit of pressure I'm sure, but the way the manager is leaving the club, when he does leave, means it's in a good state really. Everything here is set in place so, hopefully for the manager coming in, it will be an easy transition."
Ferguson guided United to 13 league titles.
