Manchester United captain Nemanja Vidic has revealed that his recovery from a knee ligament injury is "on schedule".
The Serbian defender damaged his cruciate ligament last December as United were knocked out of the Champions League by Swiss club FC Basel.
The problem has ended Vidic's participation for the Red Devils this season, but he has insisted that he will be fit for new campaign in August.
"My recovery is going well," Vidic told the club's official website. "I am on schedule and will hopefully start training again in July."
Vidic made six league appearances for United this season prior to the injury.
