Jose Mourinho says that he "gave more" to Real Madrid than any other club in his management career.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has insisted that he "gave more" to Real Madrid than any other club that he has managed in his career.

The Portuguese coach had a successful three-year spell at the Bernabeu between 2010 and 2013 when he won La Liga, but his relationship with the players was reportedly fractured.

Rumours emerged that he fell out with star man Cristiano Ronaldo, as well as defender Sergio Ramos and the club's former goalkeeper Iker Casillas.

Mourinho, though, has claimed that he has no regrets about his time at the Spanish outfit, who now have former Galactico Zinedine Zidane in charge.

"I left feeling quite at ease and feeling that I had nothing left to give. I can truly say that I gave more to Real Madrid any club than I ever have before," FourFourTwo quotes Mourinho as saying. "I left with peace of mind, I left without wanting to take out the dirty linen."

Mourinho, who has previously coached Porto, Chelsea and Inter Milan, became United manager last year and won two trophies - the EFL Cup and Europa League - in his first season.
