Glazer family rule out Manchester United sale?

A report claims that the Glazer family will not sell Manchester United until at least 2019.

The owners of Manchester United reportedly have no intention of selling the Premier League club for at least the next five years.

Ever since the Glazer family acquired control of the Red Devils back in 2005, which plunged the club into around £700m of debt, large numbers of supporters have consistently voiced their discontent at the ownership model.

Calls for the American family to sell up grew on Saturday following United's 2-1 home defeat to Swansea City, with fans unhappy at a lack of investment in the playing squad.

However, according to The Guardian, the Glazers will not consider parting with their stake in the club until 2019 at the earliest, with the belief that they continue to bring in funds by securing further sponsorship deals.

Reports have suggested that some United supporters are planning a protest against the Glazers before the home encounter with Queens Park Rangers on Saturday, September 14.
