Sir Alex Ferguson has admitted that his Manchester United side got lucky against Tottenham Hotspur this afternoon.
The Red Devils recorded a 3-1 win at White Hart Lane to close the gap on leaders Manchester City to two points.
However, Ferguson has confessed that United were fortunate to take maximum points from their trip to London.
"We carried a lot of luck today," Ferguson told Sky Sports News. "Maybe we got our tactics wrong in the first half.
"In the second half we did improve and pushed up further.
"We really needed the second goal to give us the confidence. After that we played really well."
Next up for United is a Europa League home tie with Athletic Bilbao on Thursday.
