Bruno Fernandes bemoans Manchester United "mistakes"

Manchester United playmaker Bruno Fernandes laments "so many mistakes" that his side have made recently after Saturday's dramatic draw with Everton.

Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes has admitted that his side are making "so many mistakes" after their latest slip-up against Everton.

The Red Devils were on course to take maximum points from the pulsating encounter at Old Trafford, but Dominic Calvert-Lewin poked home five minutes into second-half injury time as the sides played out a 3-3 draw on Saturday evening.

Fernandes scored the goal of the night to take his tally to 13 for the Premier League season, but the playmaker has since lamented the numerous mistakes that his side have made in recent matches.

Speaking to MUTV after the game, Fernandes said: "There are a lot of things to be disappointed with. We were making so many mistakes in the last few games and we can't keep conceding goals like that.

"We have to be more focused, we have to have the same desire to score and to defend our goal. Every time we have to make goals and score goals, it has to be the same to not concede and I think we have to learn from this.

"It's already happened a lot of times so it's more than a bit disappointing. You talk about everything that's going on, but it's about learning and making it better.

"It's really bad. You can't concede goals like that because from a full 50 yards they are a long way from our goal. We have to be more focused, we have to be ready and we have to be more stronger. We have to defend our goal with everything."

United's point on the night means that they lie two adrift of leaders Manchester City before their showdown with Liverpool later on Sunday.
