Daley Blind has admitted that Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal is "very strict and direct" towards his players.
The 24-year-old, who can play in defence and midfield, has reunited with his former Netherlands boss after signing from Ajax on transfer deadline day last Monday.
Van Gaal, who replaced David Moyes at Old Trafford in May, is yet to guide United to a competitive victory.
"He is very strict and direct in what he wants," Blind said in this afternoon's press conference. "The players have to do exactly what is the best to try to win games. Every game is in a certain style. For every game, he is reading the games very well and his predictions came true for almost every game at the World Cup.
"The manager gave me a lot of trust during the World Cup and the qualification games. I'm happy to work again with the coach. I've learned a lot from him and hope I learn more and get better with every game."
Blind could make his debut against Queens Park Rangers in front of a home crowd on Sunday.
