Daley Blind 'happy to play anywhere' for Manchester United

Manchester United's £13m signing Daley Blind invites manager Louis van Gaal to take advantage of his versatility by insisting that he will play anywhere for his new club.

New Manchester United signing Daley Blind has invited Louis van Gaal to take advantage of his versatility.

The Netherlands international, who is capable of playing at centre-back, left-back or in midfield, moved from Ajax to Old Trafford for £13m on transfer deadline day.

"I can play as a defender and as a midfielder," Blind told reporters at his official unveiling on Thursday. "I want to play and where I play is up to the coach and I will try do my best."

Blind played in every game of Holland's run to the semi-finals of the World Cup in Brazil this summer.
