Anderson doubt for Sunderland clash

Sir Alex Ferguson admits that Anderson is "doubtful" for Manchester United's match against Sunderland this weekend.

Manchester United have been hit with another injury blow ahead of their match with Sunderland as midfielder Anderson is unlikely to feature at Old Trafford.

The playmaker was substituted in the final ten minutes of United's 2-0 win over Otelul Galati in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

"Vidic will be back [to face Sunderland] but maybe Anderson is the one player who picked up an injury last night," said Ferguson.

"We'll see what he's like. He could be doubtful."

Ferguson also confirmed that Ashley Young, Tom Cleverley and Chris Smalling will not play a part in the Premier League match this weekend due to injuries.
