Manchester United have confirmed that midfielder Ander Herrera will be out of action for "the next few weeks" with a fractured rib.

The Spanish international suffered the injury on Saturday during his side's 2-1 victory over West Ham United in the Premier League.

Herrera lasted 74 minutes at Old Trafford before he was replaced by Antonio Valencia.

United are back in action on Sunday when they host Everton in the Premier League.
