Preview: Manchester United vs. West Ham United

Sports Mole looks ahead to the Premier League clash between Manchester United and West Ham United at Old Trafford.

Manchester United will be hoping to put their shock defeat to Leicester City behind them when they host West Ham United in the Premier League on Saturday.

Louis van Gaal's side threw away a 3-1 lead against the Foxes last Sunday before suffering a 5-3 loss at the King Power Stadium.

The hosts will be without Tyler Blackett, who has featured in every league match so far this season, after the defender was sent off during last Sunday's loss.

His absence leaves United short at the back, with Jonny Evans leaving the match against Leicester on crutches, while Phil Jones is continuing his recovery from a hamstring injury.

Meanwhile, West Ham head into the match on the back of just their second league win of the season.

The Hammers cruised to a 3-1 win over Liverpool at Upton Park last Saturday, moving Sam Allardyce's side up to eighth in the table.

Summer signing Cheikhou Kouyate will miss the trip to Old Trafford after sustaining a groin injury in last week's win, having been ruled out for six weeks with the complaint.

Kevin Nolan, Matt Jarvis, Andy Carroll and Joey O'Brien all remain sidelined with ongoing issues.

Man United won both of their league matches against West Ham last season.
