Manchester United team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Sheffield United

Sports Mole rounds up all of Manchester United's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Wednesday's Premier League clash with Sheffield United.

Manchester United will be looking to keep their momentum going when they host Sheffield United in the Premier League on Wednesday evening.

The Red Devils beat Liverpool 3-2 on Sunday to advance through to the fourth round of the FA Cup and extend their unbeaten run to five matches.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men are in the middle of an intense run of fixtures, with focus now returning to league matters and this midweek visit of bottom side Sheffield United.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Man United's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the contest.

Marcos Rojo

Status: Out
Type of injury: Calf
Possible return date: Unknown

Marcos Rojo has not featured for United all season and has been tipped to leave the club before the January transfer window closes. The defender is currently sidelined with what is believed to be a minor calf injury sustained in mid-December.

Facundo Pellistri

Status: Out
Type of injury: Coronavirus
Possible return date: Unknown

Facundo Pellistri joined United from Penarol last October but has yet to make his senior debut. That first appearance for the club has been delayed after the youngster tested positive for coronavirus earlier this month, meaning that his availability remains unknown.

Brandon Williams

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knock
Possible return date: Unknown

Brandon Williams, another who is on the fringes at United, is struggling to shake off a knock and will continue to be assessed before returning to full training.

Phil Jones

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Phil Jones has been struggling with a knee injury all season and no return date has yet been set. It seems increasingly likely that the centre-back will depart Old Trafford in the coming months.

Marcus Rashford

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: January 27 (vs. Sheff Utd)

The only blemish for United in Sunday's win over Liverpool was the knock sustained by Rashford. The injury is not serious, but Solskjaer has hinted that he will not risk the forward.

MANCHESTER UNITED'S SUSPENSION LIST

Man United have no players suspended for this top-versus-bottom showdown.
