Phillip Cocu hopes United fans don't boo Hector Moreno following Luke Shaw injury

PSV boss Phillip Cocu hopes that Man United fans do not boo Hector Moreno, who caused Luke Shaw's double leg break during their Champions League match in September.

PSV Eindhoven boss Phillip Cocu has urged Manchester United supporters not to boo Hector Moreno at Old Trafford this evening because of his responsibility for Luke Shaw's injury.

The Dutch side will take on Louis van Gaal's team in the Champions League two months after their meeting, which was overshadowed by Shaw's injury.

The United left-back suffered a double leg break when Moreno tackled him during PSV's 2-1 win over the Red Devils in Holland.

When asked if he thought that Moreno would be booed, Cocu told reporters: "I hope not. It was a very bad injury. Hopefully Luke Shaw will get back soon.

"He is a fantastic player. The most important thing will be that he is back on his feet shortly, joining the team and playing for Manchester United, but we don't know what will happen tomorrow in the game."

United will seal a place in the final 16 of the Champions League if they win this evening.
