West Ham United eye Gareth Barry switch?

West Ham United are understood to be closing in on a deal for former Manchester City midfielder Gareth Barry.

West Ham United are reportedly keen on signing former Manchester City midfielder Gareth Barry.

The 33-year-old had been expected to join Everton this summer after spending last season on loan at Goodison Park.

However, the deal is thought to be in jeopardy following a financial disagreement between officials at Goodison Park and the Etihad Stadium.

The Hammers could now swoop for the former England international ahead of the new campaign, according to The Mirror.

Meanwhile, Barry's former club Aston Villa are also understood to be monitoring the situation.
