Manchester City have reportedly opted against making young midfielder Phil Foden available for loan next season as they want him to continue his development under Pep Guardiola.
The England Under-19s international celebrated his 18th birthday on Monday and is understood to be in talks over a long-term contract, possibly tying him down until 2023.
According to The Telegraph, all parties are relaxed that terms can soon be agreed, with pen expected to be put to paper at some point during the summer.
Numerous Premier League teams have made enquiries regarding Foden's availability, including West Ham United, but the report suggests that any short-term exit will be blocked.
Foden made 10 appearances under Guardiola in 2017-18, earning the youngster a Premier League winner's medal.
