Manchester City 'have £39m bid for Jorginho rejected by Napoli'

Manchester City reportedly have a bid of £39m for Jorginho rejected by Napoli, who are holding out for £59m.

Manchester City have reportedly had a £39m bid for Napoli midfielder Jorginho rejected.

Jorginho has been a key asset for the Serie A club this season and has been linked with moves to City, Chelsea and Manchester United.

According to The Mirror, Napoli have rejected City's opening bid after raising their asking price to £59m.

The report adds that City have prioritised the signing of the Italian international and want to conclude the deal before the World Cup commences.

The 26-year-old scored against Pep Guardiola's side in last season's Champions League.
