Manchester City have reportedly decided not to hold any contract talks with striker Carlos Tevez until the end of the season.
According to Goal.com, the Premier League champions' director of football Txiki Begiristain wants to evaluate the Argentine's value next summer.
Negotiations over extending contracts of midfielder Gareth Barry and defender Joleon Lescott will also only be looked into next summer, as City want to assess the current squad and build a team for the future.
All three players' contracts will run out in June 2014.
