Reading are close to sealing the signing of defender Wayne Bridge, according to reports.

Wayne Bridge could move to Reading following his release from Manchester City, according to reports.

The full-back is available on a free transfer after reaching the end of his contract at the Etihad Stadium.

Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp had revealed that he was keen to sign the 32-year-old, but according to Sky Sports News, the former England international is likely to sign a one-year deal at Reading.

The former Chelsea and Southampton player spent the majority of last season on loan at Brighton & Hove Albion.
