Oscar Bobb is reportedly set to sign a new six-year contract with Manchester City, keeping him tied to the club until June 2029.

Oscar Bobb is reportedly set to sign a new long-term contract with Manchester City.

The 20-year-old attacker has stepped up to Pep Guardiola's first-team squad this season following the summer departures of Riyad Mahrez and Cole Palmer.

Bobb had previously made a notable impression for Man City's academy teams, scoring 31 goals and providing 33 assists in 114 appearances across all youth competitions from Under-18 to Under-21 level.

The youngster contributed with six goals and 16 assists in 25 Premier League 2 matches last season to help the Citizens win their third successive youth title.

Bobb was linked with a temporary departure from the Etihad Stadium in the summer, with both Ajax and Porto allegedly interested in recruiting the attacker on loan.

However, Guardiola was keen for Bobb to remain at Man City and he has since made five senior appearances for the treble winners, making his debut in the Premier League, Champions League and EFL Cup.

Bobb has also received his first senior call-up to the Norway national team squad this month, and was handed his full debut in a 1-0 home defeat to Spain in a Euro 2024 qualifier on Sunday, lining up alongside Man City teammate Erling Haaland in attack.

The Oslo-born attacker currently has three years remaining on his contract at the Etihad, but it appears that Man City are prepared to reward the youngster with a new-and-improved deal.

According to the Daily Star, Bobb is set to sign a new six-year contract which will keep him at Man City until the summer of 2029.

The report adds that the youngster will see his wages treble from £12,000 per week to £36,000 a week as a result of his promotion to the first team.

Bobb is expected to follow in the footsteps of fellow academy graduate Rico Lewis, who penned a new five-year contract with the Citizens in August.

Guardiola is said to have been impressed with Bobb, and his emergence was once one of the main reasons why Man City were prepared to sell Palmer to Chelsea in the summer.

After the international break, Bobb will be looking to get more first-team minutes under his belt when Man City play host to Brighton & Hove Albion in the Premier League on Saturday.
