Newcastle United eye Micah Richards?

Newcastle United are reportedly looking to replace Arsenal-bound Mathieu Debuchy with Manchester City defender Micah Richards.

Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew has reportedly made Micah Richards one of his main transfer targets this summer.

Pardew is expected to be in the market for a new right-back, with Mathieu Debuchy thought to be on the verge of joining Arsenal.

Speculation has suggested that Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini has deemed Richards surplus to requirements at the Etihad Stadium, which has alerted Pardew, according to the Daily Star.

The 26-year-old has just 12 months left to run on his contract with City and is thought to be available for around £3m.
