Premier League champions Manchester City are understood to be lining up a move for Newcastle United captain Fabricio Coloccini.
The Argentine, who moved to Tyneside in 2008, recently signed a new four-year deal with the club.
However, City hope that a pay increase and the promise of Champions League football can lure the 30-year-old to the Etihad Stadium this summer, according to The Mirror.
Newcastle signed Coloccini from Deportivo La Coruna for £10m.
