Manchester City reportedly decided to reject Leicester City's request for Patrick Roberts to be included in any deal for Riyad Mahrez.
Earlier this week, City made an approach to sign Mahrez before the end of the January window, with the Algerian international handing in a transfer request and staying away from training.
However, City failed to meet Leicester's valuation and that allegedly led to the Foxes asking for Roberts - currently on loan at Celtic - to be included if City were not prepared to go above £65m.
According to the Daily Mail, City were not interested in parting ways with the young Englishman, who has scored 18 goals in 72 appearances for the Scottish giants across three different loan periods.
Since missing out on a switch to the Etihad Stadium, Mahrez is said to have missed two training sessions as he continues to express his disappointment over being forced to remain at the East Midlands outfit.
