Manchester City reportedly remain undecided over whether to hand a new contract to Vincent Kompany.
The 32-year-old is regarded as a club legend. having made 343 appearances in all competitions and helped guide the North-West giants to three Premier League titles.
According to The Mirror, Pep Guardiola is keen to hand the Belgian a new one-year deal but the club's hierarchy are said to have concerns over the player's injury problems.
Kompany has not played more than 22 times in any of the last three campaigns, and just 13 outings have been made in all competitions this season.
The player has also been absent since the first week of 2019, although the centre-back did impress as City got the better of title rivals Liverpool.
Kompany's current deal is due to expire in the summer.
