Inter Milan have reportedly made an official £12m offer for Manchester City defender Eliaquim Mangala.
Mangala is firmly down the pecking order at City behind the likes of John Stones, Aymeric Laporte, Nicolas Otamendi and Vincent Kompany, and he is yet to make a single appearance in any competition this season.
The 27-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at Everton but made only two appearances for the Toffees due to injury problems.
Mangala is understood to be desperate for more regular first-team football, and Football Italia reports that Inter are willing to offer him a route out of the Etihad Stadium.
The Serie A outfit are hopeful of securing the France international for a relatively cheap price given that he is deemed surplus to requirements by City boss Pep Guardiola.
However, they could face competition from a number of other clubs across Europe should City be willing to sell Mangala for around the £12m mark.
