Everton want Gareth Barry loan deal?

A report claims that Gareth Barry is wanted on a season-long loan basis by Everton.

Everton are reportedly keen to secure the services of Gareth Barry on a season-long loan basis from Manchester City.

The 32-year-old has just 12 months left to run on his deal at the Etihad Stadium and as yet, no talks have taken place over an extension to those terms, which in turn has resulted in speculation that he is not part of Manuel Pellegrini's plans.

That has alerted Everton boss Roberto Martinez, who is looking for a replacement in case he loses Marouane Fellaini to Manchester United, according to the Daily Mail.

Barry joined the 2012 champions from Aston Villa in 2009.
