Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko has insisted that he never asked to leave the club in the summer.
It had been speculated that the Bosnian would depart City in the transfer window, with a number of European clubs believed to be interested in his services.
However, the 27-year-old, who has scored four goals this season, has claimed that talk of a move was pure "speculation".
"I think there was a lot of speculation from journalists but I never heard from the club they wanted to sell and you never heard from me that I wanted to leave," he told reporters at a press conference.
City face Bayern Munich in the Champions League this evening.
