Pep Guardiola "impressed" with Manuel Pellegrini

Bayern Munich coach Pep Guardiola reveals his admiration for Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini ahead of the side's Champions League clash tonight.

Bayern Munich coach Pep Guardiola has said that he has been "impressed" with how Manuel Pellegrini has quickly imposed his own style on Manchester City's style of play.

Pellegrini took over from Roberto Mancini during the summer, and Guardiola feels that the Chilean has continued his long-standing record of developing teams in his own way.

"I am really impressed with Manuel because I would like to be like him. No matter which club or team he is training, his teams play in the same way," Guardiola told reporters.

"His fingers, his footsteps, his trademark is always there in his teams. It has happened in Villarreal, Malaga, Real Madrid.

"If I beat them all the time it was because I was training one of the best teams in the world, one of the best teams in the history of Barcelona. Sometimes it was easy for me."

Guardiola's European Champions visit Pellegrini's side in the Champions League this evening.
