David Silva returns to Manchester City squad

Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini confirms that David Silva is fit for Wednesday's Champions League clash against Bayern Munich.

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has confirmed that David Silva is back in the squad for Wednesday's Champions League encounter at home to Bayern Munich.

The midfielder has been sidelined for the Blues' last five matches after suffering a thigh injury while on international duty with Spain.

"David is in the squad list for tomorrow. I think he can play at least some minutes tomorrow," BBC Sport quotes Pellegrini as saying.

City opened their Group D campaign two weeks ago with a 3-0 win against Viktoria Plzen.

Meanwhile, holders Bayern also earned a 3-0 victory as they overcame CSKA Moscow.
