Juventus have reportedly opened discussions with Jonathan David over a move to the club, with the forward potentially available on a free transfer next summer.
The 24-year-old was linked with both Arsenal and Manchester United during the recent transfer market, with both clubs believed to be admirers of the Canada international, but he remained with Lille.
David is unlikely to pen a fresh contract with his French club, meaning that he is set to become available on a free transfer, unless a mid-season departure for a small fee can be agreed.
Both Arsenal and Man United are still thought to be in the striker market, with the Gunners expected to move for a new forward in 2025, while the Red Devils could bring in further competition in the final third.
However, according to journalist Ekrem Konur, Juventus are now at the head of the queue for the Canadian, with discussions over a five-year contract taking place.

Juventus 'in talks with David over Serie A move'
The Old Lady, as it stands, would be free to agree a pre-contract with David in January, allowing him to move to the club on a free transfer at the end of the campaign.
The forward has again been in strong form for Lille during the 2024-25 campaign, scoring seven goals and registering two assists in 11 appearances in all competitions.
David made the move to Lille in August 2020, and he has represented his current side on 194 occasions in all competitions, scoring 91 goals and registering 20 assists in the process.
Chelsea were also linked with the striker during the recent transfer window, but no official bids are believed to have been sent to Lille despite a number of English teams being on the lookout for a striker.

Should Arsenal, Man United consider a late hijack?
Players of David's quality and age do not often become available on a free transfer, and it would be a surprise if both Arsenal and Man United did not have another look at him.
The forward has experience at the highest level, scoring three times in nine Champions League appearances, while his Ligue 1 record is 76 goals and 11 assists in 152 appearances.
David has the pace and power to operate in the Premier League, while he also boasts impressive finishing abilities, demonstrated by the high number of goals that he has scored throughout his career.
The striker also will not want astronomical wages, making him an even more attractive proposition, but it does appear that Juventus are currently in the driving seat for his signature.
