Manchester City fail in Fernando Llorente loan move?

Manchester City reportedly fail with a loan move for Juventus striker Fernando Llorente.

Manchester City will not be granted permission to loan Juventus striker Fernando Llorente, according to the club's sporting director.

According to The Express, City had been keen to sign the Spain international on a temporary basis, but sporting director Giuseppe Marotta has insisted that any offer will not be successful.

Marotta told Tuttosport: "We believe in Llorente and we have no intention of selling him."

Llorente only joined the Serie A champions this summer after moving on a free transfer from Athletic Bilbao.
