Barcelona reportedly still hold an interest in Manchester City attacker Raheem Sterling.
The Blaugrana are expected to complete the signing of Ferran Torres from the Premier League champions next month amid their attacking woes, which worsened following the news of Sergio Aguero's retirement.
Prior to striking a deal for Torres, Barca were strongly linked with a swoop for Sterling, who has been in and out of the starting lineup under Pep Guardiola this term.
Despite spending big to land Torres, Eurosport claims that the cash-strapped Catalans are still planning to lure Sterling away from the Etihad as well.
The report adds that Xavi is a 'huge admirer' of the England international, and City will become increasingly open to a sale if Sterling shows no intention of extending his deal beyond 2023.
The 27-year-old has registered seven goals and three assists from 23 games in all tournaments this season but has only started nine Premier League matches.
