Manchester City midfielder Samir Nasri will be out of action until the New Year, according to a report.

Manchester City midfielder Samir Nasri has reportedly been ruled out for two weeks with a groin injury.

According to the Daily Mail, the 25-year-old has been told that the injury he picked up against Newcastle United on Saturday will keep him on the sidelines until the New Year.

This means that Nasri will miss City's Premier League games against Reading, Sunderland and Norwich City and is in doubt for their clash with Stoke City on New Year's Day.

City are currently six points behind leaders Manchester United in second place in the Premier League.
