Samir Nasri is battling a severe migraine problem which is at its worst in cold conditions, according to reports.

Manchester City midfielder is reportedly battling a recurring migraine problem that leaves him bedridden in cold conditions.

Nasri was unable to train for the early part of this week with the condition and is a doubt to face Newcastle United later today as a result, according to The Sun.

The French international drew widespread criticism from supporters and pundits for failing to block Robin van Persie's winning free kick in last weekend's Manchester derby.

Roberto Mancini's side trail Manchester United by six points ahead of this afternoon's trip to St James' Park.
