Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini confident of regaining title

Manuel Pellegrini backs Manchester City to win back the Premier League title next season.

Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini has backed his side to regain the Premier League title next season.

City relinquished their crown with a whimper during the 2014-15 campaign, finishing eight points behind champions Chelsea.

However, Pellegrini has insisted that the Blues will come back stronger after the summer break and believes that more silverware is on its way to the club.

"I am sure we are going to return stronger next season that we are going to recover the title for the Etihad [Stadium]," the Chilean told the Manchester Evening News.

"That we must make some changes, that we will see which are the players that must go and which players will come. It is not an easy duty because we must try not to make mistakes. During the summer we will see."

Manchester City ended their Premier League campaign on Sunday with a 2-0 victory over Southampton.
